About BM Autowerks
At BM Autowerks, we’re on a mission to change the way Kiwis think about European cars. For far too long, people have believed that owning or maintaining a Euro vehicle automatically means high costs, long wait times or complicated repairs.
We’re here to prove the opposite.
With the right knowledge, the right parts and the right technician behind the tools, European vehicles can be reliable, affordable, and a joy to own.
And that’s exactly what we deliver.
Driven by perfection
Guided by transparency
BM Autowerks was founded by Nick, a South African invested in Volkswagens and BMW’s alike. With his first car being a MK3 Golf purchased in pieces at the age of 16. Trying to get it back together and on the road was a struggle initially. After many hours researching parts and tools. He found was local places just werent affordable.
Nick then studied towards becoming a qualified diesel mechanic, and has accumulated years of experience working across all aspects of automotive repair, diagnostics and electrics. After seeing first hand how misunderstood European vehicles often are, Nick set out to build a workshop that focuses on these three things:
Perfection. Transparency. Education.
Every job is done to the highest standard — no shortcuts, no guesswork, no rushed results.
Every cost, repair and recommendation is explained openly and honestly.
And every customer leaves knowing more about their car than when they arrived.
Because we believe informed customers make confident decisions — and confident decisions save money, stress, and unnecessary repairs.
Our Philosophy: European Cars Done Right
We specialise in:
Full mechanical repairs and servicing
Diagnostics and fault finding
Performance modifications and enthusiast builds
High-quality Euro parts sourcing
Honest guidance and long-term maintenance planning
Our goal isn’t just to repair your car — it’s to help you understand it.
We break down what’s urgent, what’s optional, and what’s preventative.
We show you why things fail, how to maintain them properly, and how to get the best performance for the best value.
By educating both our customers and our team, we’re building a new standard of Euro ownership in New Zealand — one based on clarity, trust, and long-term reliability.
A People-First Workshop
BM Autowerks operates on values that matter:
Open and transparent communication
A perfectionist approach to every repair
Clear explanations without jargon
Respect for your time, budget, and goals
A welcoming, down-to-earth environment
Whether you’re bringing in a daily driver, a weekend weapon, or a full performance project, we treat every vehicle with the same care and precision.
Building a Better Euro Community in NZ
Our vision extends beyond the workshop.
We want to reshape how Kiwis view European cars — not as expensive, fragile machines, but as well-engineered vehicles that thrive when serviced properly by people who know them inside and out.
Through honest education, quality workmanship, and a commitment to perfection, BM Autowerks is helping owners experience the true potential of their vehicles — without the fear of hidden costs or unnecessary repairs.
